Vancouver Trip Recap

Have would be lying if I told you I was so excited to be going to Vancouver Canada. Having just returned from freezing cold New Hampshire (32' at night!!!!) I was dreading the thought of sweaters and scarfs again.

After s hellish flight ( I had to spent the night in Phoenix after my flight was canceled) I finally made it to Vancouver.  I was completely wrong in every way I pictured it to be.  It was beautiful!  The mountains are very different than what I'm used to.  The shoot up into the sky all around the city.  There was even snow on one of the highest peaks !

The weather was a beautiful 50-60' so a light jacket and scarf were perfect.  After rushing to the hotel ( I was already half a day late for my meeting)  we toured the popular Robson street and found many great shops and restaurants.

and there were signs for a Top Shop opening soon.

The next morning I was eager to get out ( and still not on Vancouver time I was up at 4:30 am) so i went for a walk along the sea wall.

 There were beautiful sculptures everywhere.

It was interesting to see how they mixed old building with modern ones.

The Famous Fairmount Hotel was across the street from the Hyatt I stayed at.

Of course I had to try the Canadian Classic...Tim Hortons coffee shop

Vancouver is also a very green city with recycling bins and great public transport. I also noticed many people used bikes to get around.

Overall I loved my trip and was surprised at how amazing the city was. I've heard we have our meetings there once a year and look forward to visiting again soon!
